Why do I still feel tired after the infection has passed?
Fatigue is a common part of the body’s response to infection and can sometimes continue after the infection itself has passed. Recovery time varies and does not always reflect how severe the original illness was.
Rest, regular meals, fluids and a gradual return to normal activity may help. Avoid repeatedly pushing through exhaustion. If fatigue is persistent, worsening or affecting daily life, speak to a GP so that other possible causes can be considered.
