Before Your Appointment
What happens during my first appointment?
Your first appointment includes a discussion about your health concerns, medical history and treatment goals. I will explain the treatment process, answer any questions and ensure you feel comfortable before beginning treatment.
How long does an appointment take?
Initial appointments usually last around 50 minutes. Follow-up appointments usually take around 40 minutes.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing is recommended. Ear acupuncture only requires access to the ears.
Can I eat before treatment?

Ear Acupuncture (NADA)
What is the NADA Five-Point Protocol?
The NADA Five-Point Protocol is a recognised form of ear acupuncture used internationally to support relaxation, emotional wellbeing and stress management in healthcare and community settings.
What can ear acupuncture help with?
Many people choose ear acupuncture to support stress, anxiety, emotional wellbeing, relaxation, sleep quality and general wellbeing. It is designed to support wellbeing and is not intended to replace medical treatment.
Does ear acupuncture hurt?
Most people experience little or no discomfort. You may notice a brief tingling, warmth or dull sensation, which is a normal response.
How many treatments will I need?
Everyone is different. Some people notice benefits after one treatment, while others achieve the best results from a course of sessions.
Safety
Is acupuncture safe?
Yes. Treatments are provided using sterile, single-use disposable needles in accordance with professional standards. Your safety and comfort are always my priority.
Can I continue taking my medication?
Yes. Ear acupuncture can usually be used alongside prescribed medication and other healthcare treatments. Please continue taking your medication unless advised otherwise by your GP or specialist.
